In the summer of 2013, Wolochatiuk worked for the United Nation’s High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on an innovative project to spotlight the Syrian Refugee crisis. As Producer/Director, Wolochatiuk filmed for a month in Al Zaatari, the largest Syrian refugee camp in Jordan. Cameras followed the flow of refugees from southern Syrian into Jordan. Featuring UN Special Ambassador Angelina Jolie, the highly successful web-series was released on Yahoo US, Canada, UK, Spain, Germany and several other countries. The series was nominated for two International ONLINE MEDIA AWARDS in the categories of Best Journalism and InvestigativeReporting.
In 2018, Wolochatiuk directed a feature length special to commemorate the centennial of WW1. 100 Days to Victory was a Canadian/Australian co-pro for BBC2, Corus Entertainment and Foxtel and Tim is nominated for a 2019 Canadian Screen Award (CSA) for Direction and the program is nominated for Best History series. Wolochatiuk is currently the drama director on Mayday/Air Emergency and has helmed the hit series, now in it’s 20th season, for the last 8 years.
Wolochatiuk is currently developing a scripted feature based on an original idea. He resides in Toronto, Canada with his wife and two daughters.
